The Scriptures are filled with stories of Jesus working miracles and teaching us about everlasting life. It is easy to see why Jesus caused such a stir in his time on Earth and why we believe He is truly the Son of God.

May 24, 2020 Ascension of the Lord Matthew 28:16-20

Today we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord. In today’s gospel we hear that the disciples went up the mountain as Jesus had ordered them. Many of them are still doubting Jesus. Jesus tells the disciples that he is with them always. He will teach them so that they can teach others.

1. Why do you think the disciples were still doubting Jesus? How did Jesus reassure them?
Compare what the disciples are feeling to how you are feeling during the shutdown. How and when do you turn to Jesus?

Scripture Verse:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations.”
